BMI is the abbreviation for Body Mass Index
The status for healthiness applies only to adults.

Status   

To adults a BMI applies between 18.5 and 25 as normal weight fitting the length.
A BMI under the 18.5 applies as underweight and a BMI above 25 as overweight.
Also the graph showed below applies only to adults.


A graph of body mass index is shown above. The dashed lines represent subdivisions within a major class. For instance the “Underweight” classification is further divided into “severe,” “moderate,” and “mild” subclasses.Based on World Health Organization data here.

The waist dimension is also a measure for correct weight.

Your waist is the most slender part of the upper part of your body.
Measure the dimension around two and three centimeters above your belly button.
A waist dimension less than 80 cm for women and less than 94 cm for men fits a normal weight.
For men implement a waist dimension above 94 cm and for women above 80 cm as risky for the health.
For men with a waist dimension above 102 cm and women above 90 cm even as very risky.

fruits & veggies: More Matters

My pyramid or the food guide pyramid.

For healthy food you can you use the food groups from left to right on the pyramid.
Eat regularly food from every group of the pyramid.
These groups are: grains, vegetables, fruits, oils, milk, meat and beans.
There are two additional categories: extra physical activity and extra calories (cal) if needed.
Extra calories equals extra energy fom calorie rich food.
